Kimberly a. Pease

Ms. Pease co-founded Citadel Information Group, Inc. (Citadel) in 2002, providing information security management services to small and medium-sized businesses and the not-for-profit community. She was responsible for business development and the growth of the firm. She conducted information security/cyber security risk assessments and reviews, supported clients through their cyber security compliance audits and worked as a subject matter expert for compliance and legal professionals. She was responsible for creating information security education programs, both for Citadel as well as Citadel’s clients. Ms. Pease also served as CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) for her clients. In January 2020, Ms. Pease and her partners sold Citadel to Miller Kaplan Arase LLP, a top-100 certified public accounting firm. Ms. Pease served as Director of Information Security at Miller Kaplan and continued to provide information security management services to her clients.

Prior to co-founding Citadel, Ms. Pease was Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Pictorial Offset Corporation, a high-end middle-market commercial printing company. She directed the company’s ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 initiatives that led to the dual ISO accreditations in record time. As CIO, she implemented a full suite of business management solutions, including accounting, cost accounting, operations management, inventory management, payroll, job ticketing, bindery and shipping programs. Additionally, during an interim 7-month period, Ms. Pease was Acting Chief Financial Officer and streamlined the accounting processes as a whole, increasing the efficiency within the department; including decreasing overdue accounts receivables and increasing cashflow for the company.

Prior to joining Pictorial, Ms. Pease was on the staff of Logic Associates for over 10 years, a software development company where she opened up a West Coast Sales operation in San Francisco, CA creating an expanded presence for the company.

Ms. Pease has been a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association since 2002 and has served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer and Education Director for many years. She also served as Chair of the annual conference for 7 years. Ms. Pease is a former member of ASQ (American Society of Quality) and previously held a Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification. She speaks frequently and has published several articles. She has been interviewed several times on ABC News Good Morning America and NBC News.
